Ceo a.k.a Eric Berglund from the Swedish act The Tough Alliance, is a kind of turned down version of his former band- more of a softer alliance if you will. Ceo have described themselves as “silence and virginity lost in a gang bang’’- too much Eurotrash? Well let’s hope this isn’t.
“All Around” becalms you into an orchestra of violins and a faint early howl that progresses into a steady drumming that lifts the song into a chorus of choiring vocals- leaving you in a state of quietude, but not for long.
From your relax state leap into a more upbeat track ‘llluminata’, that instantly hits you with more of a kick, displaying the electro/pop side of the album that incorporates a cheery beat with effervescent synth.
Straight into a more poppy slow club beat jam ‘love and do what you will’, maybe the only song on the album you could have a little jive to. This displays Eric’s soft vocals and showcases a more emotional side of the band.
Then onto the deep bass and catchy jam that is the first single of the record ‘Come with me’, shows a more dark side of the band with such lyrics as- ‘Would sacrifice this life to make it real?’ Seeing beyond the suicidal lyrics and the new video comes an instant hit.
An all around diverse range of songs strung together with emotive meaning, without the Eurotrash. Good Stuff.
